DocsIntegration

Discord Integration

Two-way bridge between Discord threads and King sessions.

What Discord Integration Does

  • Posts in Discord can spin up a King session in KingCoding
  • Replies and progress are mirrored back into the same thread
  • Reply in Discord to send follow-ups or approvals
  • Run KingCoding from your phone using just the Discord app

Setup

  • Create a dedicated Discord bot and copy its token
  • Paste the token into KingCoding → Settings → King Mode → Discord settings
  • Enter the channel ID and user ID
  • Pick the default project that incoming messages target
  • Invite the bot to your server / channel and click Test

Thread-Based Conversations

Each request gets its own Discord thread, mapped to a King session. Messages sync both ways.

  • Reply in Discord → it lands in KingCoding
  • KingCoding speaks → it shows up in the same thread
  • Completion reports surface in the thread too

Tips That Pay Off

  • Perfect for running King Mode from your phone while you're out
  • For teams, sharing a single channel keeps the log visible
  • Fire-and-forget requests work well: post a goal in Discord and let KingCoding work in the background
