DocsIntegration
Discord Integration
Two-way bridge between Discord threads and King sessions.
What Discord Integration Does
- Posts in Discord can spin up a King session in KingCoding
- Replies and progress are mirrored back into the same thread
- Reply in Discord to send follow-ups or approvals
- Run KingCoding from your phone using just the Discord app
Setup
- Create a dedicated Discord bot and copy its token
- Paste the token into KingCoding → Settings → King Mode → Discord settings
- Enter the channel ID and user ID
- Pick the default project that incoming messages target
- Invite the bot to your server / channel and click Test
Thread-Based Conversations
Each request gets its own Discord thread, mapped to a King session. Messages sync both ways.
- Reply in Discord → it lands in KingCoding
- KingCoding speaks → it shows up in the same thread
- Completion reports surface in the thread too
Tips That Pay Off
- Perfect for running King Mode from your phone while you're out
- For teams, sharing a single channel keeps the log visible
- Fire-and-forget requests work well: post a goal in Discord and let KingCoding work in the background
